Emilio Petrone CEO Sisal
Emilio Petrone was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sisal Group in 2008. Under his leadership, the Group has diversified significantly and strengthened its position, with turnover rising twofold and profitability improving sharply.
Today, Sisal Group has a turnover of 17 billion euros and almost 2,000 employees, making it one of Italy’s leading private companies.  

He was Senior Vice President of Mattel Corporation, a global leader in toys and entertainment, where he ran the operations in SEEMEA – South East Europe, Middle East & Africa, and was CEO of Mattel Italy, Mattel Greece and Mattel Manufacturing Europe. Previously, he held managerial roles in leading companies such as Sara Lee Corporation, Unilever and Ferrero.

Emilio Petrone is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy since 2005 and also sits on the Board of Centromarca and Giunta Assonime.

Since June 2013 till February 2015,  he represented Italy as a member of the Executive Committee of European Lotteries, the European association of lottery and gaming sector companies which promotes sustainable gaming at international level and coordinates solidarity work.

Since his arrival in Sisal, Emilio Petrone has shown great vision, extending and improving the retail network through training, new technology and trade marketing initiatives, including the creation of concept stores like Sisal Wincity. In addition, with the implementation of a major acquisition strategy, the development of the digital gaming segment and mobile platforms in particular, and the strengthening of communication and marketing functions, Sisal management has successfully seized the opportunities offered by the market and overcome the challenges of growth. Finally, the strategic focus on Payment & Services has given a further boost to business development and diversification, paving the way for further lasting growth across the Sisal Group.
