Sisal has been included in the "Leaders in Diversity and Inclusion 2025" ranking, the first edition of the survey conducted by Statista in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore.
Sisal has been recognized among the "Leaders in Diversity and Inclusion 2025" in the first edition of the survey created through the collaboration between Statista and Il Sole 24 Ore to identify companies most committed to making their workplace increasingly inclusive.
The research involved full-time and part-time workers, who were asked, through a survey, to rate on a scale from 0 to 10 how well their employer promoted diversity and inclusion policies. Participants were also invited to express their opinion on various statements regarding age, gender, equity, ethno-cultural diversity, disability, and sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+).
“We are very proud of this recognition, which demonstrates our concrete commitment to an increasingly inclusive, fair, and accessible work environment,” said Sian Carson, Chief People Officer of Sisal. “At Sisal, we believe that the growth of people is the driving force behind our success and that inclusion is a strategic lever for building a sustainable future. We will continue to work with determination to ensure that everyone feels valued and part of a community that recognizes and celebrates diversity.”
People are the key resource for Sisal—over 3,500 across four countries—and the company is committed to valuing talent and promoting diversity and inclusion. Sisal has a structured DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) plan covering all areas, with targeted activities ranging from training to equip employees with the necessary skills to face the market to wellbeing programs aimed at fostering mental and physical health. The company also promotes webinars and awareness meetings, supports parental leave policies, and develops women’s empowerment programs, all with the goal of creating a fair, inclusive, and sustainable work environment for everyone.
Sisal’s commitment to DEI has enabled the company to make a significant step toward achieving one of its main sustainability agenda goals: eliminating the gender pay gap by 2030. The company closed 2024 with a group-level gender pay gap of 2.9% (contrary to the European average gender pay gap of 12.7% according to Eurostat data) and an increase in the number of female colleagues occupying top leadership roles within the company (36%).
In 2025, Sisal will continue to strengthen its commitment in three key areas: accessibility, with concrete actions to support people with disabilities; a culture of listening, through structured feedback and dialogue mechanisms; and inclusive leadership, promoting a management model based on inclusion and the appreciation of diversity.
This recognition confirms Sisal as one of the companies most attentive to employee well-being and the creation of a workplace where everyone can grow and perform at their best.
