Involving people
Human capital is a fundamental pillar for Sisal in pursuing his mission to achieve the targets set. Sisal’s employees are characterised in the first instance by a sense of belonging to a unique community, interconnected by strong ties and shared goals, which are the values that inspired the founders when they coined the name “Sisalisti” (Sisalists).
Today, seventy years after the birth of that ambitious project, Sisal’s people continue to work with passion to ensure that the company sets an excellent example of returning value to the community and all stakeholders. That is why Sisal regards promoting the full value of this capital as extremely important.
The approach adopted by Sisal considers three specific areas for action:
- Continuous Learning
Now more than ever, Sisal is having to engage in a process of technological and digital transformation that affects the entire organization, including operating procedures and the various professional roles. That is why we develop projects supporting employability - to enable all our people to develop their talents and stay active and useful in a labour market in constant evolution – and programme opportunities for different generations and genders in order to boost their spirit of enterprise and ability to deal with change.
- Wellbeing
We are committed to fostering the wellbeing of our employees with projects and initiatives to improve their work experience and promote a good work-life balance. This culture of physical and mental wellbeing also requires a commitment to workplace health and safety, especially in situations like the current healthcare emergency. We therefore encourage virtuous behaviours in all our people and have strict controls and procedures in place to ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Diversity & Inclusion
Promoting diversity in an organization means taking account of every individual and understanding their uniqueness, their contribution and the opportunities they bring. Sisal is increasingly heterogeneous in terms of its resources’ gender, ethnic and cultural background, generation, experience and skills. We see diversity not just as something to take in your stride, but more importantly as a resource that can be used to design creative, innovative solutions that take account of various different points of view.
