Sisal’s employees, outside associates and suppliers are required to comply with the company’s ethical principles and specifically to:
- comply with internal rules and procedures regarding the choice and management of suppliers;
- comply with the criteria of fairness and transparency, without excluding any company with the necessary requisites from being able to compete for contracts to supply the company;
- choose suppliers based on corporate needs, in order to ensure the best possible quality and cost conditions for the products offered;
- obtain the maximum (or expected level of) collaboration from suppliers in the process of satisfying the needs of the company and its consumers in terms of quality, cost and delivery times;
- maintain a frank and open dialogue with suppliers, as required by good business practice;
- keep the appropriate corporate functions updated as regards significant problems regarding a supplier, in order to be able to assess all the consequences.
A dedicated portal was launched in 2013 to facilitate collaboration and communication between the company and its suppliers.
